March 2020 Meeting – Andy Rudy

Tuesday, March 3rd at 7pm
Mount Vernon Christian School
820 W Blackburn Rd, Mt Vernon, WA 98273

“He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”

This quotation on Andy’s website will give you some idea of what to expect from his presentation. If you’ve seen his wide range of projects at Bring and Brag, you already know that he is an artist and master craftsman, working with wood and metal.

February 2020 Meeting – Sean Carleton

Tuesday, February 4th at 7pm
Mount Vernon Christian School
820 W Blackburn Rd, Mt Vernon, WA 98273

Carleton Fine Work fine art furniture and sculpture studio based in Bellingham, WA, founded by Sean Carleton in 2013.

Fine work is not common. Contemporary craftsman Carleton creates from his humanity, hand, and intuition from organic materials that imbue physical shape. Welding imagination with skill, technology, and artisan technique; each original piece is unique, one-of-a-kind handcrafted from its initial vision.

Carleton Fine Work reveals the vibration of steel and wood as sculpture and functional furniture resonating peace and beauty beyond form. Designing with steel, wood, and glass comprises elemental art, focused on the essential elements of life: Sustainability and a desire to make the world a more beautiful place.
