Tuesday, May 1st at 7pm
Our May program features club member George Knutson. Before recently moving to Whatcom County, George worked with Darrell Peart in Seattle for 12 years collaborating on Greene & Greene furniture designs. George has taught at Woodcraft, the Port Townsend School of Woodworking, and at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking in Indiana. George will walk us through the process of building a Greene & Greene inspired end table. He’ll talk about wood selection and layout, mortise and tenon joinery, wood movement, and breadboard ends. He’ll cover the sequence of steps in making the table, shaping with templates, glue-up techniques, and more.
