Brian Boggs, owner of Brian Boggs Chairmakers, will be discussing how and why he works the way he does. From log selection for different products, to joinery and finish. He will tie the story of his work process into a complete picture.

Brian will also do a few demos like bandsawing complex compound-oriented curves with precision, and steam bending 1.5” thick hard maple to a 15” radius. He intends on touching on handtools as well, as he is designing a completely new kind of plane.

With each demo or section Brian will discuss important specifics of the task at hand. This presentation will definitely inform and inspire.
